Alldredge to replace long in AUS SX for Crankt Protein Honda Racing

The Crankt Protein Honda Racing Team are pleased to confirm that American Supercross and Motocross star Chris Alldredge will join the team for the remainder of the 2016 Australian Supercross season.

Alldredge will be competing in the SX1 class; making his first appearance alongside Jay Wilson at round two of the Australian Supercross Championship in Toowoomba next Friday, October 14th.

The 20 year old will be replacing injured Honda CRF450 rider Dylan Long who will remain sidelined for the entire Supercross season.

Alldredge has had a highly successful amateur career recording numerous top five and top ten results in the 250 class in both Supercross and Motocross in America.

He shared his enthusiasm about making his way to Australia to take on the talent packed SX1 category; “I’m really excited to have the opportunity to head over to Australia and join the Crankt Protein Honda Racing Team…. It’s all happened so fast and I’ll be flying out first thing tomorrow to be with the team.” He said.

“I’ve heard great things about the Australian Supercross series and obviously there are quite a few guys from the U.S. currently racing the championship, so I’m pumped to be lining up with them and all the Australians next weekend.”

Once in Australia Alldgredge plans to get straight into testing with the team and prepare for round 2 as soon as possible.

“I’m looking forward to this new challenge and I feel very fortunate to have been offered a seat with the Crankt Protein Honda Racing Team for the rest of the season.” Alldredge added.

Crankt Protein Honda Racing Team Manager Paul Free has welcomed Alldredge to the factory team and says that the American import will be a fantastic addition to the talent packed series.

“We are very pleased to be welcoming Chris to the team, it’s great to have him on board from round two and then throughout the rest of the Supercross series,” Free shared.

“With Dylan out injured, we had been on the lookout for a suitable replacement. Brendan Radford, the Director at Crankt Protein has been instrumental in the draft. It was through his connections in the States that we were able to make contact with Chris’ manager and after speaking with Chris it’s clear that he will be a great fit for the team.”

During his time here in Australia Alldredge will be based in Victoria and will be spending time training with his teammate Jay. This will ensure close proximity to the team and the racing workshop in Melbourne.

“We are very excited to see what Chris can do in the SX1 class here in Australia. He’s obviously had a successful career so far in the U.S and we’re sure that will also translate to some great results on our own soil,” Free added.

The Crankt Protein Honda Racing Team are currently preparing to head to Toowoomba in Queensland for round two of the 2016 Australian Supercross Championship being held on Friday, October 14.
