Thor named as official partner of AUS-X Open

All-new partnership locked in for supercross spectacular.

Thor have been announced as the official parter of the AUS-X Open supercross and freestyle motocross international set to take place on 12-13 November inside Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.

GAS Imports owner, Doug Sharp, is excited to parter with the event that will feature two of the brand’s finest ambassadors, Ryan Villopoto and Cooper Webb, along with a selection of Australia’s best in Thor racewear.

“We are excited to be involved with the AUS-X Open this year with some big name Thor athletes coming out, including Ryan Villopoto and Cooper Webb, and off course our Aussie backed athletes including Todd Waters, Lawson Bopping and Hayden Mellross,” said Sharp.

“It really was a no brainer for us to be a part of one of the greatest Australian supercross events. Last year was a great event and we know the AUS-X Open is only going to get better.”

AUS-X Open director, Ryan Sanderson, is equally excited about Thor’s involvement, and looks forward to creating a long-standing relationship with the brand.

“Thor is a huge global brand and leader in motocross and supercross apparel,” said Sanderson. “We’re wrapped to have them as a new partner for the 2016 AUS-X Open and look forward to a long and great relationship with them.”

The 2016 AUS-X Open will feature a selection of the world’s best supercross riders going up against Australia’s best, the Monster Energy FMX Best Trick competition, live DJ performances by Brooke Evers and much more.
