Joey Savatgy Shines at Round 2 of the FOX Australian Supercross Championship in Front of Packed Stands at Kayo Stadium
Round 2 of the 2024 FOX Australian Supercross Championship saw intense racing at Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe, with a nearly sold-out crowd witnessing top-tier supercross action. Joey Savatgy (USA) of Napa Parts Honda Factory Racing took the overall SX1 victory after a thrilling night of battles.
In the first race, Luke Clout held off Savatgy to claim the win, while reigning champion Dean Wilson finished third after a mid-race mistake. In the second race, Savatgy made his move early, securing a decisive win, with Wilson in second and Clout in third, giving Savatgy the overall victory.
In SX2, Shane McElrath (USA) dominated both races, taking a commanding 1-1 win to bounce back after a tough first round.
With fierce competition heating up, the championship moves to Wollongong on November 2 for Round 3.
